About
Tricia was born in Valley Station before the merger of the city and county school systems, later moving to Crescent Hill at the age of seven. She attended six different elementary schools before completing middle and high school at Brown School, where she graduated before attending Earlham College and briefly the University of Michigan. Tricia earned her B.A. in mathematics at Earlham College and moved to San Francisco, working briefly as a preschool teacher before transitioning to the California Supreme Court Library.
Returning to Louisville after the birth of her first child, Tricia dedicated eight years as a stay-at-home mom before beginning law school at the University of Louisville when her youngest turned three. Graduating in 2005, she began her career as a criminal defense and appeals attorney. Tricia’s three children attended JCPS schools—Brown, Noe, and Manual—where she served on the Brown School SBDM for six years and participated in principal selection committees.
Today, Tricia and her husband reside in the Highlands with their two dogs, sharing a love for live music, theater, running, hiking, and backpacking. She also enjoys reading and playing bridge. In her spare time, Tricia serves on the Boards of The Louisville Bar Association, The Women Lawyers Association (where she was President), Kentucky Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, Stage One, and The Political Women’s Council.
